A Trip Down Memory Lane

From a blog entitled "A trip down memory lane" you're probably expecting some sort of journal, diary, memento of my life, starting as a child and progressing through the awkward tween years, the irritating teen years, the partying 20s, the awakening of the 30s and the enlightening of the 40s....and that would be one very exciting story, I can GU-AR-AN-TY you that!....the problem?  the "trip" and the "memory" parts ...

While a "trip" usually involves a journey, an excursion, an adventure, of which I assure you I have had MANY; and, would love to share most some of them with you, these days the only trips I've been taking are down the stairs, up the stoop, over the laundry and through the woods....no, not really through the woods, I kid ya' .... Yes, it appears that with age, while I have managed to do it somewhat gracefully (I don't drool or fart in public ...  yet)... I have, you can say, lost my mind balance.   I don't know if it's all the rushing around, the preoccupation with other things, or just plain stupidity (a natural progression after marriage and teenagers), but for whatever reason, I have become my own stunt person, minus the good salary and ability to avoid injury.  Ouch!  I have nightmares of rolling down the aisle at my children's weddings or landing face-first in the holy water at the baptisms of my grandchildren.  I have even considered taking a job as a clown in the circus to give my clumsiness meaning.  (Who am I kidding, a job??) ... Still despite the bruises, both to my body and ego, I look forward to my life ahead, each slip, flop and stumble, relatively confident  that my friends and family will be there to catch me, or at least apply the ice!

As for the "memory" part?  ...........................
.........................wait....................................
..............................what was I talking about?
