Every morning when I look in the mirror, after it goes through the whole
routine which it insists on doing every time, despite it being oh-so-obvious, I discuss my plans, my goals, my hopes, my dreams.... Oh, who am I kidding? I don't discuss any of those things. Who the hell do you think I am? friggin Snow White?" You are the fairest of them all"
C'mon in what universe can someone talking to themselves in a mirror be a good thing. Let me give you a hint, NONE! Of course someone with multi-personalities might do this quite often but, in essence, they are not really talking to themselves because they think they are someone else, in which case they are talking to others, even though they're not really, because they are one and ...
Enough of that, let's get back to me....
No, when I talk to myself in the mirror, be warned! It's not going to be a tea party and no guests are welcome. It just means that whatever I have to say
The topics I discuss with me vary from day-to-day, usually having to do with the family. Sometimes good, sometimes bad and always interesting. Who's doing what? What wasn't done? How could they? Why did they? When will they? How much? Who with? Why Me? .... Of course there are the days, though few and far between, when I just critique myself, because, quite frankly, I'm practically perfect. Well, I'm pretty good. Alright, I talk to myself in the mirror for goodness sakes! I'm obviously in need of some help!
BUT, I AM the fairest of them all, my mirror told me so! ;)
Sweetie that is perfectly normal IN fact I used to place affirmations about myself and my life on the mirror in post it's that way when I walked through myhouse I would have a reminder of Who I was and Who God said I was
ReplyDeleteI talk to myself in my head all day long but I find if I do it in the mirror, I end up laughing out loud at myself which really makes me seem like a psycho.
ReplyDeleteI just talk to myself, no mirror needed. I pretend I've got a blue tooth in so that it's cool.
ReplyDeleteI talk to myself ALL the time. Been working real hard to make that self talk positive affirmations instead of self criticisms! You need to be your own cheerleader bc no one else will cheer as hard or as loud! ;)
ReplyDeleteLast time I looked in my mirror and it said "Hi Ho" I punched that bitch. Needed several stitches after. Now it knows just who the boss is - me !
